WHAT IS NMN?
Nicotinamide Mononucleotide. NMN is the most direct naturally occurring precursor to NAD+ in human biology — one enzymatic step away from becoming NAD+, catalysed by NMNAT (nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase). Unlike NR and nicotinamide, which require multiple conversion steps and are subject to competing metabolic pathways, NMN enters the NAD+ biosynthesis pipeline at the penultimate step.
