What is H.Pylori?

H. Pylori is a spiral-shaped gram-negative bacterium. It’s estimated that roughly half of the world population has this bacterium in their gut without causing symptoms. It lives in the harsh and acidic stomach environment, predominantly in the upper small intestine. It spreads from one person to another through contaminated food and water. 

2. Why does PyloGuard contain 20 billion cells instead of CFU?

Generally, probiotic supplements offer live bacterial strains that can grow and multiply and the total number of bacterial particles are referred as CFU. Microbiome Labs PyloGuard contains a non-viable and stable form of  Limosilactobacillus reuteri DSM 17648. The spray-dried powder doesn’t contain living cells, and they can’t form colonies. Therefore, it contains 20 billion cells.
